| Keppel Club is one of the oldest club in Singapore. It was founded on 15 November 1904. In 1996 it became the first and only club to be installed with the Japanese Monorail Cart System to overcome the shortage of caddies. The monocart is an unmanned golf bag conveyor which runs along a rail installed along the golf course and carries up to a maximum of four bags per cart. Click here for hints on using the monocart efficiently As for the course, accuracy here rewards the golfer, rather than distance as OBs can be found on almost all the holes. The terrain of the first nine is flat compared to the second nine which is hilly and undulating. Should your balls stray into the bushes or ravine, it is advisable to avoid searching for it as snakes have been sighted on a few occasions. As this course is the nearest to the Central Business District (only less than 10 minutes), one can put in a game of nine holes after a hard days work before proceeding home. |
